Spring Clean your Home Fragrance

Spring Clean your Home Fragrance

The Snowdrops and Crocus are starting to pop into bloom… before long it will be time for Spring Clean!  As Spring comes into bloom many of us start to look at how we can clean and freshen up our homes.

Freshening up our home is also a real opportunity to freshen our home fragrances.  We can look to replace the comforting, warming scents and look at the more uplifting and fresh fragrance to complement the lighter and longer days.

Here are a few steps to help you look after your scented candles.

With their pleasant aromas and visual beauty, it’s no surprise that candles are frequently used as a focal point for home décor. When using candles throughout your home, always remember that placement makes all the difference.

Avoid displaying your candles in a spot where they will be directly exposed to sunlight or harsh indoor lighting. Candles may melt if they are left in bright light or exposed to heat for an extended period of time.

When switching scents for Spring - don’t throw your winter candles away. A good candle will keep until later in the year. It is good to get in the habit of being more sustainable too. The best place to store your candles is in a cool, dark, and dry place. This will keep them clean of dust and debris, and can also help protect the wax and fragrance. Also, don’t throw away the lids to your candles (our aluminum tin range). They help protect them!

Do your candles get a little dusty from time to time? You can clean your candles by gently rubbing the surface with a piece of nylon or a soft cloth. You can use a dry cloth or one that’s slightly dampened with water.

Great uplifting & fresh fragrances for Spring include: Lemongrass, Ginger, Spring Flowers, Citrus, Sea Moss, Water Hyacinth, and Sea Minerals

Our matching scents for the season – Uplifting Lime & Ginger, Fresh Ocean Breeze
